5 Things You Missed Out With Electric Run Last Year! Hint* Don't Stop Reading
April 19, 2016
1. We had the largest participation in a neon run (Malaysia Book of Records) – 11,875 electrifying participants
Having the title of Malaysia’s Largest Neon Run has all bragging rights and there is good reason to that. With 11,875 participants, we had the Malaysian Book of Records title Electric Run Malaysia for the ‘Largest Participation in a Neon Run’ – everyone made history together! This was not your everyday crowd you’d see in Malaysia, we had a sea of colorful bright neons, painted faces, glow sticks left, right and center. Talk about a view!
2. Did you know there was a pasar malam in electric run?
We all know Malaysians love their pasar malam, a one-stop shop for all your yummy goodies and neon accessories. Electric Run’s version of your favorite pasar malam would be the marketplace. This year, think bigger and better – something you wouldn’t want to miss before the starting line and after you pass the finish line.
3. There was a courseland that smelt like candy
Who doesn’t enjoy a candied whiff as you run through electric neon courselands? We will have 10 courselands this year, 2 more compared to last year. Electric Run creates a journey quite like no other run out there, this year we have:
Start Line – Candy Lane – Electro Forest – Under The Sea – Neffmau5 Land – Rainbow Road – The Powerhouse – NEW Mysteryland – NEW Mysteryland – Finish Celebration.
Get those smiling faces ready as we will be snap snap snapping away when you pass through these courselands!
4. Has anyone ever told you that being creative has no boundaries?
Well Electric Run fans went all out last year with flashy outfits, glow stick decor, painted faces – you name it, they did it. We even had pimped up strollers and wheelchairs; take your imagination to where your heart desires! We want to see our Electric Run 2016 crowd go mega 2.0 this year!
5. Finish line celebration complete with fireworks
What’s a nice way to get a pat on the back after a 5k run? A celebration! One that went with a bang – when we say bang we meant fireworks! Last year we had some amazing local acts who showcased their music such as Paperplane Pursuit, Kyoto Protocol, Enterprise, DJ Nesh, Dac Kim and TRuE.
Shhhh, guess what? This year, we’re bringing an international act or maybe 2! We’ve only released this information here so stay tuned for more surprises! ;)
