Over the years they have gained a huge wave of success with over 70 million records sold, 50 singles in the UK charts and nominations for prestigious awards such as the Grammys and the Brit Award to name a few. UB40’s reggae sound and diversity in the group made them stand out within the musical community, which in turn harnessed their popularity over the years.
With world-renowned hits such as ‘Red Red Wine’, ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’, ‘Food for Thought’ and more, UB40 has topped the UK singles charts year after year. The band has a strong influence by sounds of the blues, ska and reggae, which explains their style of music throughout most of their most popular albums.
UB40 – Can’t Help Falling In Love
The band lasted for over 30 years until Ali Campell, well known legendary voice of UB40 left in 2008 to pursue his own successful solo projects. In 2013, Mickey Virtue and Astro reunited with Ali Campbell and the trio hit it off with a sold out tour around the world. After their successes, they released an album in 2014. Their newest album ‘Silhouette’ showcases top 10 hits similar to their previous original albums, it hosts original songs as well as covers of hit songs. With Ali and Astro’s distinct voices and Mickey on keyboards – the original sound and elements of UB40 is kept within their album – which essentially is what their fan are here to see.
